This is the area to post useful threads/guides for the class, i'll be sure to update this regulaly, hopefully we get a nice Archive of guides.
Also any really good FAQ answers posted in these forums will be placed in here.
First up:
This guide is for all our Druids who want to put together a set for tanking. It includes only easy-to-get items that you can get before setting foot in Karazhan.
The following beginner's tanking items can be bought from the AH:
Heavy Clefthoof Vest ( www.wowhead.com/?item=25689 )
Heavy Clefthoof Leggings ( www.wowhead.com/?item=25690 )
Heavy Clefthoof Boots ( www.wowhead.com/?item=25691 )
Stylin' Purple Hat ( www.wowhead.com/?item=25680 )
Braxxis' Staff of Slumber ( www.wowhead.com/?item=31186 )
Out of the PvP rewards, you should try to get the shoulders (Gladiator's Dragonhide or, next season, Merciless Gladiator's Dragonhide shoulders) as you're not likely to come up with anything better from PvE. The Dragonhide head piece is also decent if you don't want to get the Stylin' Purple Hat for whatever reason. It might even be a little better, but that depends whether you want to focus on armor or agility.
Try to get rings with armor on them. For easily obtainable armor rings, I suggest Iron Band of the Unbreakable ( www.wowhead.com/?item=27436 ) from the first boss of normal mode Durnholde. You can get two of these things and they'll last you a while.
For a cloak, you should go for Thoriumweave Cloak ( www.wowhead.com/?item=28256 ) off Capacitus from Mechanaar. Best blue tanking cloak by a mile.
Your bracers should come from the Cipher of Damnation quest line in Shadowmoon Valley. Umberhowl's Collar ( www.wowhead.com/?item=30944 ). Or if you don't feel like questing, get the PvP bracers.
For gloves, you should probably go for the Gladiator's Dragonhide gloves. You could try to get the Verdant Gloves ( www.wowhead.com/?item=30943 ) from a Shadowmoon Valley quest line, but in the end it's probably easier to just hit AV a few times than try to get people together for that quest.
For necklace, if you missed Mark of the Ravenguard ( www.wowhead.com/?item=29336 ), you could go with Strength of the Untamed ( www.wowhead.com/?item=29173 ) from Cenarion Rep. And as for belt, well, there aren't a lot of choices and I think that the best one outside of raiding or PvPing is Manimal's Cinch ( www.wowhead.com/?item=30942 ) from a pretty simple quest line.
As for trinkets, well, the best ones are any trinkets with armor, and you'll find that there are only three of those in the entire game: the Smoking Heart of the Mountain ( www.wowhead.com/?item=11811 ) for Enchanters, Mark of Tyranny ( www.wowhead.com/?item=13966 ) from UBRS quest line and the very, very expensive Badge of Tenacity ( www.wowhead.com/?item=32658 ).
I think that pretty much covers it.

Here's a little guide for Druid leveling, in particular for what talents to pick and in what order. This focuses only on Feral leveling as it is the fastest of the three trees, not to mention that Feral is generally concidered to be the second fastest leveling class in the game, right after Beast Mastery Hunters.
Level 10-19
www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxG
At tier 1, you've got two talents: Ferocity and Feral Aggression. Out of these two, Ferocity is mandatory and as such your first five points should go into it. Watch out for Feral Aggression, most Druids would agree that it's the most useless talent in the whole Feral tree.
For tier 2, first take Imp Bash. It can be a real life saver in tough situations where you need to get a heal off before the stun wears off. After that, whether you take Feral Instinct or Thick Hide is mainly a matter of preference: Feral Instinct helps you stealth better and the increased threat makes tanking easier, whereas Thick Hide offers a little bit of mitigation whenever you fight melee-based foes. Personally, I'd go with Feral Instinct.
Level 20-29
www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMccb
There are three good talents at tier 3: Feral Swiftness, Feral Charge and Sharpened Claws. For leveling purposes, the first of these talents you should pick is Feral Swiftness. It increases your Catform movement speed by 30%, making it only 10% slower than Travelform and you can get Feral Swiftness 20 whole levels earlier. It really speeds up your leveling. After Swiftness, go 3/3 into Sharpened Claws. 6% crit is a lot and makes you a mean killing machine. We'll skip Feral Charge for now, because even though it is a good talent, there are more important talents to pick at this time.
From tier 4, first pick Primal Fury. It'll help tanking a bit and allows you to build up combo points faster while in Catform. After that, take Predatory Strikes. Shredding Attacks, while extremely important talent for DPS, isn't terribly useful in solo play until you get Mangle.
Level 30-39
www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMssrox
Tier 5 gives us access to Savage Fury, Faerie Fire Feral and Nurturing Instincts. Nurturing Instincts is pretty much a PvP talent so you can safely skip it. Put your points Savage Fury for 20% increased Claw (and eventually Mangle) damage. After that, we return to tier 3 and pick up Feral Charge, finally. Then comes Fairie Fire Feral, and after that put one point into Shredding Attacks.
Now we gain access to tier 6 which gives us Heart of the Wild and Survival of the Fittest. Go 5/5 Heart of the Wild. Survival of the Fittest can wait a while.
Level 40-49
www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMsfrotzi
Now we're at tier 7 and get Leader of the Pack. Take it, and then put two points into Improved Leader of the Pack. Congratulations, now all melee classes love you. That's only three points and we have two more before tier 8 opens up. Put a point into Shredding Attacks (now you should have 2/2) and then one point into Survival of the Fittest.
Tier 8 with Predatory Instincts opens up. Go 5/5 into it. That AoE resist comes in handy and increased critical attack damage is nothing to sneer at.
Level 50-59
www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMsfrotzioVL
Mangle, finally. The single defining talent that separates Feral druids from wannabes. Put it where you had Claw and throw Claw away: you won't need it anymore. Mangle is everything Claw is and more.
Now that we have Mangle, it's time to move to the Restoration tree. Pick up Furor and follow it up with Naturalist. You now deal an additional 10% damage (well, 8% actually, since you need to be level 60 for 5/5 Naturalist).
Level 60-70
www.wowhead.com/?talent=0ZxGMsfrotzioVL
Once you reach 60, take the last point in Naturalist and at 61, pick Omen of Clarity. From here on, you have four talents that you can take in whatever order you want: Thick Hide (or Feral Instinct if you took Thick Hide earlier), Survival of the Fittest and Primal Tenacity from the Feral tree, and Natural Shapeshifter from the Restoration tree. If you plan to tank a lot of instances, I'd suggest first picking Thick Hide/Feral Instinct, then putting the remaining two points into Survival of the Fittest and then picking either Primal Tenacity or Natural Shapeshifter, whichever you feel like taking. Personally, I concider Natural Shapeshifter to be the superior talent, but to each their own. This leaves you with one talent point that you can put pretty much anywhere. If you plan to do PvP you might want to invest it in Nature's Grasp from the Balance tree.
This isn't a strict "you must do this" guide, but it should give you a good idea about what talents are the more important ones in each tier and then you can make your own choices accordingly. I must stress, however, that picking Feral Swiftness as soon as possible is extremely important as it reduces your travel time a lot. Other than that, get Mangle as soon as possible (at level 50) and you're golden. - Props To Ruine for this
